A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Riverside, Missouri wa_s held October 19, 195L at the City Hall in
Riverside, Missouri at 8:00 p.m. Upon a roll call, aldermen Clark,
Klamm, Nelson, Panus, Scrivner, and Young •~aere present. Mayor Filger
dalling said meeting to order.
The minutes of October 5, 195-1- meeting were read and the
correction being made that an application of Emery Brenner ratherthan
L. R. Renn~-r was presented to the council with the request that the
road running in front of the Baptist Church, in a northerly direction,
north of Highway 69, be named either Renner or Homestead Road, the
minutes were then approved as read.
Colleetor~s report was read.
Young reported the dust and smoke ordinance was not
comx~leted.
Mr. J. Y. McA?anus summarized the work he and his assistant
had done re~tardin~; the auditing of the City's books and stated this
matter was in good order. He presented books which summed up the major
part of th.e auditing. Mr. McManus sugg~estedthat alphabetic files for each
year for disbursements be madeand that his fee would be approximately
X325.00.
Mr. Boswell presented the matter of hispaying X50.00 per year
for the one trailer he had in the rear of his cleaning business and
expressed his opinion that he thought it was too high for one trailer.
The council stated the reason this license was X50.00 was solely because
they didnot want every resident and business place to have a trailer on
the beck of their property and if the business r,lace which did have a
trailer thought they were helpf ul enough for protection of their business,
they would not object to the 50.00, also that nothing ould be done about the
past license fees, but the future fees would be reviewed.

Thereupon Klamm moved that rules be suspended and that

Thereupon Klamm moved that r1les be suspended and that

Thereupon Klemm moved that Hughes~s application for
businesslicense to operate a nursery be accepted, subject to receiving
check in the sum of 422.92; that the application of Paul Schrel'Ml for
~up~es~i~~cense to operate a bakery be approved; and that Roy Renner~s
application for building permit for house be approved subject to his
properly filling out the proper form in duplicate, second by Panus,
all voted in favor.
