Dr. Jones was called upon to report what the health department
had accomplished regarding sanitation problems in the City of Riverside.
Since Mr. Chappelear z.r~~s working nn the problems in this vicinity he
read letter.ahich had been written to trailer court regarding sanitation
problem and said trailer court i-ras complying with said regulations
in letter. Dr. Jones stressed the point that he and Mr. Chappelear
are employed to help with all sanitation problems tirhich come up and

Acting Tr`ayor Young read letter written citizen of City of
Riverside, Pissouri with reference to sanitation problems, Tt was requested
N1rs. Paulhe purchase post cards and have same mimeographed.
Thereupon it was dec-.dad to mailpost cards to citizens of
Riverside su~;r-esting they bring their sanitation problems to the
Health Officer of Platte County, Missouri.
Thereupon Police Jude SwAanam submitted re~;ort for month. of
Jul-r,1953.
Thereupon a petition was received requesting that the board
of aldermen passed ordinance requiring that all future animal hospitals
and kennels be m--_de soundproof, also any additions to animal hospitals
and kennels be made soundproof. Committee of Panus, Clark and Scrivner
:~ras a_>~ointed to compile d=ta on the matter and special meeting •would
be called to hear the report of committee.

Thereupon meeting reconvened andupon call of the roll, all of

Upon motion by Beach that Mr, Paul+s resi~ia~ as police officer
be ~ecepted::~' as of July 29, 1953; that he be paid. w25.00 salary axed
''?5,00 exnenses,to cover period of July 23, 1953 to July 29, 195 3,second-
~d by Klamn, motion carried with following vote: Beach-yes; Clark-yes;
Panes-yes; Scrivner-yos; Young-yes.
Thereupon Bi11 No. 118 being a bill to pay certain obligations
and make certain expenditures by the City as f olloti~~s:

Upon motion by Panus, seconded by Clark, Bill No. 118 was
placed upon its first reading. Motion carried with votes as
follows: Beach-y es; Clark-yes; Klamn-yes; Panus-yes; Scrivner-yes;

Thereupon Clark mo ved that rules be suspended and that Bill
No. 118 be placed upon its second reading; seconded by Klamn, motion
carried with following votes; Beach-yes; Clark-yes; Klamn-yes;
Panus-yes; Scrivner-yes; and Young-yes.
Thereupon Panus moved that rules be s~ pended and that
Bill DTo. 118 be placed upon its third reading and that upon passage
of acme, become Ordinan ce No. 118; .seconded by Beach, carried with
following votes: Beach-yes; Clark-yes; Klamn-yes; PanusTyes;
Scrivner-yes; Young-yes and becaane Ordinarc e No. 118.
Klamn moved that the meeting be a~. ourned, seconded by
Young, motion carried and meeting adjorned.
