OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF RIVERSIDSZ MISSOURI
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen oP the Cfty of Riverside
Missouri, was held at the City Hall on October 20, 1953. Upon a roll call,
Aldermen, Beaoh, Clark, Flamm, and Young were present The meeting was
called to order by MayorFilger.
It was suggested that a letter be sent to Nr. F. F. Filger, Jr.
also personally contact him and ask if he would come to our next regular
meeting November 3, 1953, so that the matter of repairing trucks and the
parking of the trucks and machinery at Notts Filling Station on Highway
69 be discussed.
Thereupon Bill No. 122 being a bill providing for the appropriation
of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside, Missouri, for the
payment of certain indebtedness, upon motion by Clark and second by Beaoh,
Bill No. 122 was placed on its first reading and carried with the following
votes: Beaoh-yes; Clark-yes; Klamn-yes; and Young-yes.
Thereupon Beach moved that rules be suspended and that Bill No. 122
be placed upon its second reading; second by Clark, motion carried with following
dotes: Be:•.ch-yes; 81ark -yes; Klemm-yes; and Youngpyes.
Thereupon Clark moved that rules be suspended and that Bill No. 122
be placed upon its third reading and that upon passage of same become
Ordinance No. 122; second by Klemm, carried with following votess Beaoh-yes
Iilamm-yes; aC~ark-yes; and Young-yes.
Mr. Pierson, visitor, regueated permission to line in his basement
so that it would be more convenient for him to build Mrs. Gentry~s
house and then next spiting he would finish the upper part oP his house. The
oounpil stated the ordinance did not permit this and unless the ordinance was
repealed he could not live in his basement, He stated he did not desire to
have the ordinance repealed.
Thereupon Bill No. 123 being a bill that the City of Riverside
retain Robert Clevenger and John Costs a retainer of $100 each to defend
the City of Riverside against the deincorporation petition being circulated
in the City of Riverside; motion by Young and second by Beaoh, motion carried
with following votes; Beaoh-yes; Clark-yes; Klamns-yes; and YounBpyss.
Thereupon Clark moved that rules be suspended and that Bill No. 123
be planed upon its second reading; second by Beaoh, motion carried with
following votes: Beaoh-yes; 81ark-yes; Klemm-yes; and Young-yes.
Thereupon Clark moved that rules be suspended and that Bill No. 123
be placed upon its third reading and that upon passage oP same become Ordinance
No. 123; second by Young, motion passed with following votes; Beaoh-yes;
Clark-yes; Klemm-yes; and Young-yea.
Thereupon Bill No. 124 being a bill to pay Nr. Robert Clevenger
and John Colts $100 as a retainer fee for their legal services, upon motion
by Young, second by Clark; motion parried with following votes; Beach-yes;.
Clark-yea; Klemm-yes; and Young-yes.
Thereupon Beach moved that rules be suspended and that Bill No. 124
be planed upon its second reading; second by 87.aams, passed with following
votess Beaoh-yes; Clark-yes; Klemm-yes; and Young-yes.
Thereupon Clark moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 124
be placed upon its third reading and upon passe~ge of same become Ordinance No. 124,
second by Klemm, motion carried with following votes; Beaoh-yes; Clark-yes;
Klemm-yea and Young-yes.
Nesting adjourned.
