Of the Board of Aldermen of The
City of Riverside, Missouri
'' December 15, 1953
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Riverside, Missouri, was held at the City Hall on December 15, 1953,
upon a roll call, Aldermen, Beach, Clark, Klamm, Scrivner, and Young
L•rere present. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Filger.
Thereupon Bill IIo. 129 being a bill employing Ilrs. Davis as
Clerk of the Police Court from December 16, 1953 to April 1, 1951}.,
for a salary of y;~10.00 per month, upon motion by Clark, second by
Kl^mm, Bill Igo. 129 was pl<~_ced on its first rep:ding. The roll '.r as
called and the vote was as follows: Beach; nay; Clary-aye; Klamm-aye;
Panes-absent; Scrivner0aye; and Young-aye, and Bill Tio. 129 was read
accorciinp;ly.
Clark moved that rules be suspended and that Sill Ito. 129 be
placed upon its second reading, second by Klamm, the roll was called
and. the vote was as folloirs: Boesch-hTay; Clark-aye; Klanzrn-aye;
Panes-absent; Scrivner-aye; and Younr=aye and Bill No. 129 :a as read
'' a_ccordin~;ly.
Therein-on Clark moved that r~!les be suspended and that
Fill Ito. 129 be placed z.~;on its third reading and that upon passage
of same 1-Become Ordinance No. 129, second by Scrivner, the roll was
called an& the vote liras as follovas: B~°:a.ch-nay; Clerk-aye; Klamm-aye;
Panes-absent; Scrivner-aye ; and Younr;-aye. Bill No. 129 was accordin g-
ly read, declared passed, and was ar?proved by i4ayor Filger and became
Ordinance D;o. 129.
The ILayor appointed Young to be on a committee of one for a
budget for the City of Riverside, T~~issouri.
Clark suggested that Scrivner be on the road sign committee and
Iviayor Filger in agreement thereon appointed Scrivner as a committee
of one for Road Si~zs.
Mayor Filger reported that Mr. Crerman inquired if anyt)iling
could be done in regard to improving tree road,MM alley Drive. to see
If it trere in order L~rith. the council to contact filler any
consideration catld be given said road, T•layor would do so. The
Council was in agreement thereon.
T'r.ereupon R':ayor Filger appointed committee of I!essrs. Roy Renner,
?ailcox, Blogin, and Leslie Renner to try to locate property
for the building of City Hall, Firehouse and Post Office for the
City of Riverside.
Mayor Filger reported on conversation he had L•rith Nr. Ch apple~ar
about the work the Sanitation Committee eras doing in the City of
Riverside. He believed the Health Department was doiii{;;°very good work
and ~rauld continue to help the City of Riverside more in the future.
NIr. Chapple^r re;~orted he h~~_d contacted I-:r. I-ioore in regard to the
houses he is renting r:nd that the Greens trailer camp was cooperating
fully with them.
Thereupon Bill No. 130 being a bill providing for the appropriation
of money out of the General fund d' the City of Riverside, I~iissouri,
for the oaymentof certain indebtedness as follows:
