HomeMy WebLinkAbout1953-07-30MINUTES OF SPECL4L MsETING OF The Board of Aldermen of The City of Riverside, Missouri July 30, 1953 A special meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, T~?issouri, was held at the City Hall on July 30, 1953, at 7:30 p.m. Upon a call of the roll, all of the Board of Aldermen and the Mayor were present, the Mayor presiding at such.meeting. Thereupon the Mayor submitted the names of the judges to serve on the sp ecial election for Marshall at City Hall, on August 1{., 1953 ~.s follows: Mrs. Ramsey, 1~Trs. Bailey, I~dF7~iFJL'•I1t~, I~4rs. Nellie Brenner, T•Trs. Raymond Brophy, and Mrs. Brashear as an alternate. Thereupon Bill No. 11L~., being a bill to appoint judges for the special election for City 1~Tarshall of the City of Riverside, Mo., on Au~;tzst !}, 1953, as above listed. Upon mots by Panus, sec,>nded by Beach, was placed upon its first reading, Panus, Beach, Clark, Young, Scrivner and Klamn voted in favor of passage of said Bill. Thereupon Klamn moved thatrules be suspended and that Bill No. 111}. be placed upon its second reading. Clark seconded the motion, and Klamn, Scrivner, Clark, Young, Beach, and Panus voted in favor of passage of said Bill. Thereupon Clark moved that rules be suspended and that Bill No. 111{_ be placed upon its third reading and that upon passage of same, become Ordinance No. 17.l~.. Scrivner seconded the motion, Klamn, Scrivner, Clark, Young, Beach, and Panus voted in favor of passage of said Bill, and same became Ordinance No. 111}.. Thereupon Youngreported C1: rk for the period of sum of one doll~:r per 6 Assistant City Clerk as per month. Thereupon Bill No. 115, on a month to month bas on the appointment of Lowel Brenner a.s City 6 months, beginning August 1, 1953 for the ~.:onth-period, and that Mrs. Paulhe be of July 30, 1953, and for the sum of X50.00 City being a Bill to appoint an Assistant/Clerk is for the amount of `N50.00 per month. Upon moti~.n by Panus, seconded by Beach, Bill No. 115 was placed upon its first reading. Klamn, Scrivner, Clark, Young, Beach, and Panus voted in favor of passage of said Bill. Thereupon Panus moved that rules be suspended and that Bill No. 115 be cl~_ced upon its second reading. Scrivner sec~~rrl. ed the motion and. Klamn, Scrivner, Clark, Young, Beach, and Panus voted in favor of passage of said Bill. Minutes of Special Meeting - Page Two July 30, 1953 Thereupon Panus moved that rules be susp ended and that Bill No. 115 be placed upon its third reading and that upon passage of same, become Ordinance No. 115. Scrivner seconded the motion, Klamn, Scrivner, Clark, Young, Beach, and Panus voted in favor of passage of said Bill, and same became Ordinance Tdo. 115. Thereupon Young reported on the forms for the building permits, that said permits were to be filled in in triplicate by person requesting permit. Original to be returned to applicant after the Bo^rd of Aldermen pass on same; Tfoney to be attached to second copy and turned over to treasurer end third copy to be retained in file. Said forms should be ready for use shortly. Thereupon Clark reparted that signs were to be reprinted at no che_rge. Thereupon meting adjourned.
