July lu-, 19 53 were read and approved as read. I•:i.nutes of the meeting of the 13th of July for the purpose of having a nearing; regarding Zoning of Di strict 1 t^rere read and a?~prov ed. Judge S~~retnarn submitted a report on proceedings of the Police Court from June 3, 19;3 through June 2~b, 1953 shop^rin=; a total in fines of ';l~10.50 for the period. 1'~layor r'ilger called a ten minute recess. 'The meeting reconvened. and all aldermen were present upon resumption. Alderman Young moved thra the police committee report to the board the schedule which P9r. Paul is to follow and the specific number of ca11s he has merle on businesses delinquent in payment of license fees. The motion :^ras sec nded by alderman Ylarnm and all aldermen voted in its favor. I~jayor F'ilger called fora report from the sanitation committee chairman, lulrs. Schwartz. She reported that Mr. Cna~~r~elear has made plans to inspect sanitation f«cilities in the city limits in particular regard to trailer courts. l~rayor r~ilger called for a report from the committee on continuity of procedure. Alderman Panus made sevLral comments and suggested that fe~~rer special board meetings be held. Alderman Scrivner commented on problems confronting the road committee ~:+nd urged t.iat roads be patched prior to being graded.. He estimated this ~^rork would rec!uire 18 tons of catcher rock at a cost of "-',7.50 per ton. Alderman Yotmg moved the t the board allow an expenditure of '.150. ~0 or less be made to blr:cktop Tdorthwood ".pad, provided the Special Road District would. haul and. apply it. The motion <ra.s sec:nded by Alderman Clark end passed unanimously by the Board. Alderman Scrivner suggested th;t the board consider creating an ordinance recuiring bicycles and tricycles to be equippe d r^rith lights. Mayor Filger appointed Clark =,nd5crivner a committee to prepare recommendations in t_~is matter. Alderman Young moved that Bill Tdo. 113 be passed creating Ordinance P1o. 113 allotvinF~; payment of the follo~^ring: Rob art Paul ;20.00 Continued: Salary and expenses for the months ending June 21, 1953 axed July zl, 1953.
