HomeMy WebLinkAbout1953-07-14MINUTES Or SPECIAL MEETING OF The Board of Aldermen of The City of Riverside, Missouri July 14, 1953 A Special P,4eeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of River- side, Missouri, was held at the City Hall on July 14, 1953, at 8:00 P. M. Upon a call of the roll all of tine Board of Aldermen and the Mayor were present, the 14tayor presiding at such meeting. Thereupon Bill No. 112, (being a Bill to amend Ordinance P1o. 34 and setting up a new District under said Ordinance to be known as District I, being a District in which all tanks for storage of gasoline, etc., must be buried), was placed on its first reading. Upon motion by Panus, second by Scrivener, Panus, Beach, Scrivner, Clark, Klamm and Young voted yes for passage of said Bill. '= Thereupon Panus moved that the rules be suspended and Bill No. 112 be placed upon its second reading. Clark seconded the motion and Panus, Beach, Scrivener, Clark, Klamm and Young voted yes for passage of said Bill. Thereupon Clark moved that the rules be suspended and that Bill No. 112 be placed upon its third reading and upon passage of same become Ordinance No, 112. Klamm seconded the motion, and Panus, Beach, Scrivener, Clark, Klamm and Young voted in favor of passage of same, and Bill No. 112 became Ordinance No. 112. Thereupon Panus, as Cha9r man of the Road Committee, reported con- cerning attendance at the meeting of the Road Commmissioners for I the Parkville Special Benefit Road District. F Thereupon Clark moved, Scrivener seconded, th at Panus and Young communicate with the Commissioners of the Parkville Special Bene- fit Road District in connection with their ability to expend '~ funds for the purchase of material for roads in Riverside, Mis- souri. All Aldermen voted yes, and the motion carried. Thereupon Klamm moved, seconded by Clark, that a schedule of road work needed in Riverside be submitted to the Parkville Special ~_, .. Benefit Road District as follows: 1. (a) Northwood Road - Black Top (b) Belgian Loo Road - Grade and Grave where needed 2. (a) Old Northwood Road - Grade and Gravel lvhere needed (b) Osage Circle - Grade and Rock where needed 3. (a) Ma~~/ Road - Grade and Rock where needed (b) Valley Drive & South Drive - Install the for widening corner, Commence Fill, Grade and Rock where needed (c} Sunset Drive - Grade and Rock where needed (d) Florence Hoad - Grade and Rock where needed (e) Northwood Drive (West City Limits Road) - Grade and Rock where needed (f) Karen Street - Grade and Rock where needed (g) Riverview Road - Grade and Rock where needed All of the Board of Aldermen voted in favor of said motion and same was carried. Thereupon it was moved by Young, seconded by Panus, that a City Health Officer be appointed for the City of Riverside and that the Mayor present names for such appointment. All of the Board of ' Aldermen voted in favor of said motion and same carried. There- upon Mayor Filger presented the name of Dr. Jones for the office of City Health Officer for tr e City of Riversid®, and upon ~ motion by Young, second by Panus, the appointment of Dr. Jones as City Health Officer for the City of Riverside was un- animously approved by all of the Board of Aldermen.
