Minutes of regular meeting•of June 16, were read by acting
city clerk, Stuart R. Biggerstaff and approved with corrections
requested by Alderman Beech.

Mrs. Guse~YVelle, city collector presented a list of businesses
who were delinquent in paying for merchantst licenses. She also•
presented her official report for the period beginning January 1,
1953 through July 1, 1953.
Mayor Filger read. a letter from V. E. Armer resigning his
position as city marshall effective June 30, 1953 at 11:59 P.M.
A ten minute recess was called and. all Aldermen were present
when roll was called upon reconvening.
Mrs: Clark moved that the rr.signat;_on of V. E. Armer, city
marshall, be accepted. Alderman Beech seconded the motion and it
w=s passed unanimously: •
Iv1rs.•Clark moved that a special election be held Tuesday,
Jul_ 2$th, 1953 to .elect a city marshall. The motion was seconded
by Klamm and passed unanimously.
Alderman Young rnoved that R. 0. Paul be requesL.eci to notify
all persons or businesses delinquent in payment of occupation
license fees that these fees are due and payable and to report

Mrs. Clark moved that the board rene~^r its subscription to the
Missouri Municipal League publication. The motion was seconded by
Scrivner and passed unanimously by the board.
Mayor Fi]_ger read an application from Mrs. Irene Paulhe for
the position of city clerk.
Alderman ~~:~.". .- moved that Bill X110 be passed to create
Ordinance X110 authorizing payment of the following bills by the
city treasurer.
