' The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by klayor Filger.
Aldermen present: Beach, Renner, Brenner, Scrivner, Clark, and Young. Visitors
Mrs. Arthur Davis, Judge Swetnam, Collector Florence Gusewe~le, and Mr. Gusewelle.
The minutes were read and approved.

Names were submitted to the Council for Judges of the City election to be held
on April 7, 1953, as follows:

The City Clerk reported that an itemized statement
expenses which had been paid by the City of Riverside,
Smith of the Power and Light Gompany.

The City Clerk was aBtiked to write to Dorsey for information on-=rYhen should
members of the Zoning Commission file their resignations if they have filed as
candidate for alderman in the April ?, 1953, city election. How should the un-
expired terms be filled? If appointed, should it be for the unexpired terra of
the person who has been replaced?
Bdr. Beach gave a report on the Northwood Road condition. Scrivner made a motion
that Mayor Filger contact Bdiller about repair of said road. Sec. by Bir. Beach.
All aldermen voted yea. Motion carried.
Motion by Beach that if Miller doesn't fix road, that the City give authority
to Mayor Filger and Bbr. Scrivner to have road repaired at the expense of the City
of Riverside, repairs not to exceed $100.00. bec. by Scrivner. All aldermen voted
yes. Motion carried. Mayor Filger is to ask for a grader for Florence Road.
BEr. Beach moved that consideration on the purchase of B+k's. Shields mimeograph
machine be tabled until soma future date. Sec. by Scrivner. All aldermen voted
yea. Motion carried.
Mra. Clark reports that another inspector will be here to investigate
the Poat Office situation in Riverside.
Bdr. Franklyn of Parkwille, is to discuss the survey problem with the Parkville
City Council. Motion by Young to have the survey if Parkville will pay half. Sec.
by Renner. All aldermen voted yea. BROtion carried. b'~yor Filger is to contact
B;e,yor ~Ihipple of Parkville.
Bdr. Young reported that he had contacted Bdra. Crabtree about the open well on
herproperty. Judge Swetnam is to inspect the condition and report at the next
council meeting.
Mrs. Swartz reported that the sanitation department of Platte County cannot
help us with the conditions now existing in Northwood Acres. Bar. Beach had Ord. ~57
read on public nuisance. Beach is to contact each person connected in this situation
and notify them that complaints are existing.
Bor. Young made a motion that the city marshall be notified to start performing
his duties at once. 6larning tickets on city stickers to be issued, and if not
purchased within three days, the marahall is to follow up with arrest. Sec. by
Renner. All voted yea. Motio~ c r

Bill No. 92- Authorized disbursement was placed on first reading by Beach. Sec.
by Scrivner. All aldermen voted yes. Motion carried.
Brenner moved that rules be suspended and that bill no. 92 be placed on its second
reading. Sec. by Clark. All aldermen voted yes. Motion carried.
Clark moved that rules be suspended and that bill no. 92 be placed on third read-
ing and that same be passed and become ordinance N0. 92. All aldermen voted yes.
