Minutes of oounoil meeting September, 2, 1952
Meeting sailed to order by Mayor Filger.
Aldermen present: Beach, Brenner, Clark, Renner, Young, Sorivner.
Minutes of oounoil meeting oY August 26, 1952, read by Mrs. Clark.
Corredtion of Minutes; Change date on levey board meeting from
Sept 1, 1952 to sitar Sept 1, 1952 as the date has not been set.
Minutes of meeting Sept, 2, 1952 were recorded by Mrs. Clark.
Visitors present; Mrs. Arthur L. Davia, Mrs. Harold Sohwarts. Mrs.
Julia Eskridge, and Mr. Manning.
]4ew Business
Discussion about the community fire truck having been seen at the
Riverside Stadium in a hazardous licatlon. Mrs. Eskridge asked to
talk to the rarkville Fire Chief and make report to the oounoil.
Building Code committee report read and discussed.
Building permit granted to Mr. Bechlimier, sub~eot to filling out
application.
IIniiniahed Business:
Mrs. Shields contact Mr. Berry in regard to the Radii, which the
city wish to purchase for the marshal's oar.
Motion by Young that the Riverside Stadium license Yea for the
year ending August 31, 1952 be turned over to Mr. Dorsey. Motion
second by Renner, Motion ~oarrled.
Motion by Sorivner, that the city purchase new oar stickers Yor
1952. Second by Young, Motion serried.
Ordinances:
Motion by Renner, that bill No 66 be placed upon its first reading.
Motion second by Beach, Aldermens vote, all in favor, Motion oarrie
"The city of Riverside annez the following property starting at a
point 300 feet north of Highway 45, present property line at our
west city limits. This line follows parallel with highway 45 to
Parkville's East city limits. South to the Missouri River."Motion
by Brenner, that rules be suspended and that bill No B8 be placed
upon its second reading. Motion second by Sorivner. Aldermene vote
811 in favor, Motion carried. Motion by Brenner, that rules be
suspended and bill No 66 be placed upon its third reading, be
passed and become ord. No ,68. Motion second by Eesn~ar, Aldermens
vote, all in favor, motion carried.
