Minutes of Council meeting, February 20, 1952.
Councilman present: Young, Renner, Eagle, Srivser.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Filger.
Iinutes of meeting Feb. 13, 1952, read and approved by council.
Old Business:
Discussion on bridge leads to further investigation; Aldermen
agree with Mayor Filger's suggestion, in contacting Northmoor
on the proble~t.
Mr. Calhoun's application for a tavern in the city of Riverside
was rePttsed by the eouncil,,.Furthermore upondicision by the
council, there will be no`iftO~e tavern permits granted. Onl~r the
present tavern pperators can abtain a license.
Nir. Swetnam presented recommendations from the Civic Club,
for discussion on trai lers in a r~rsidential district.
Aldermen Eagle, asl.ed of Mayor Filger that he be excused from
meeting, due to illness in his family.
New Business:
Motion by Renner that bill Number 18 be placed for first reading.
Motion second by Young. Alderman's vote; Young, yes; Scrivner,
yes; Renner yes;. Motion carried. Motion by Renner that rules
be suspended and bill No. 18 be placed for second rea~i,~ .SC7jy,,PY
Motion second by Young. Aldermans vote, all in favor] l~I~ion '~P'~,,PY
carr~.ed.Motion by Young that rules be suspended and bill No. 18
be placed for•Iahird reading, and become l~otm as Ordinances No. 18.
"Limiting the n•~nnber of beer licenses issued in the City oP
Riverside." Aldermans vote, all in favor, Motion carried.
