HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-12-02MINDTHS OF RSC~IILAR M88TINa OF BOARD OF ALDBRMBN OF CITY OF RIVBRSIDB, MISSOIIRI DBCSN88R 2, 1997 Tha regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri, was held at the City Hall in Riverside on December 2, 1997 at 7:30 p.m. Those present were: Mayor 8d Rule, Aldermen Ray Beard, Betty Burch, Pamela Darata, George Flaws, sad Ron Super. Absent: Alderman Brenda Tetera Also preeeat were Ana Daaiele, City Administrator, and Bob Bayless, Director of Public Safety. Ia the absence of Irene Paulhe, Secretary to the Board, Ann Daaiele waa directed to record the minutes. Minutes of 11-18-97 Alderman Beard moved to approve the minutes of the Approved meeting of November 18, 1997. The vote was: Aye: Aldermen Beard, Burch, Darata, Flaws, and Super Nay: Nose Motion carried. Municipal Court report Mayor Rule informed the Board the report for the Nov. Municipal Court for the month of November, 1997 was available for review. Public 9Porka report Ann Daniels reported that Raneaa City Power and Light RCP&L coat reduction had revised the cost estimate for iastalliag the wiring for the Christmas decorations from $8,800 to $7,000. City Administrator's Ann Daniels preeeated a brief overview of the CABO report: CABO Code Oae sad Two Family Dwelling Code, 1995 edition, which Preview will need to be adopted by the Board at the December 16 meeting to assure local builders comply with all regulations and to improve the insurance services rating for reaideatial property owners. Project Status report Ms. Daniels reported that all projects were still working but that the inclement weather sad cold temperatures had reduced the amount of work which can be completed. However, all projects are still on schedule for their anticipated completion date. Muehleberger Alderman Burch reported that she had spokes with Bob agreement for dirt Muahlaberger concerning hie agreement with Mr. Lesmeister Lesmeiater to provide fill dirt to hie property during construction on the Hillside sad South project which had never been done. She stated he had agreed to deliver the dirt. Mayor Rule noted this was a personal agreement between the property owner and the contractor and while wa would like Muehleberger to keep hie word, the City cannot be further involved in the matter. 97-121 Bill No Alderman Flaws moved to place Bill No. 97-121 on its . Payment of Bills first reading, said Bill provides for the payment of certain indebtedaees as listed therein, seconded by Alderman Beard. Said Bill provides for ameading Title Traffic Coda, Chapter 380: III, Traffic Code, Chapter 380: Vehicle Equipment, Vehicle Equipment, Article Article II. Other Vehicle 8quipmant, by adding a sew Ii. Ordinance No. 97-123 Alderman Heard moved to place Bill No. 97-123 oa its Approved aecoad reading sad upon passage of same become Ordinance ao. 97-123, seconded by Alderman Darata. The vote was: Aye: Aldermen Darata, Flaws, Super, Heard, Burch Nay: Nona Motion carried. Traffic enforcement on Phyllis Reece, High Drive resident, expressed thanks High Drive to Public Safety for enforcing the speed limits oa High Drive with the construction workers.
