BOARD OF ALDERMEN
CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI

DECEMBER 18, 1997
The Board of Aldermen met in Special Session on Thursday, December
18, 1997, at 9:30 p.m. for the purpose of selecting a Construction
Manager for the proposed new City Hall building. Interviews were
conducted with three firms: Universal Construction Co., CPMI, and
J.E. Dunn prior to the meeting.
Those present were: Mayor Ed Rule, Aldermen Ron Super, Brenda
Teters, George Flaws, and Ray Beard. Absent: Aldermen Pamela
Darata and Betty Burch. Also present: Ann Daniels, City
Administrator, and Richard Winner, City Engineer. In the absence
of Irene Paulhe, Secretary to the Board, Ann Daniels was directed
to record the minutes.
Bill 97-131 A motion was made by Alderman Teters, seconded by
to hire Alderman Beard, to place Bill No. 97-131 on its
Universal first reading, said Bill authorizes the Mayor to
Construction enter into a contract with Universal Construction
Co. as C-M Co. to provide Construction Management services for
the design and construction of the proposed City
Hall.
The vote was as follows:
Aye: Aldermen Beard, Flaws, Super, Teters
Nay: None
Motion carried.
Ord. 97-131 A motion was made by Alderman Flaws, seconded by
adopted Alderman Super, to place Bill No. 97-131 on
its second reading, and upon passage of same become
Ordinance No. 97-131.
The vote was as follows:
Aye: Aldermen Beard, Flaws, Super, and Teters
Nay: None
Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:50 p.m..
