Ths following wewbere were present: Aiderwen Saw Aylett, Brenda Teters,
Betty Burch, Ray Beard and George Flaws; Alderwsn Krie Aust was absent. Mayor

Nayor Rule's Cowwente Nayor Rul• esid he hoped this would be the last year
that the psopl• requesting fireworks Occupation

City Office to gat approval for their license.

did not have the Missouri State Fire Marshall's

Alderman Tetere did not perticipete in the discussion
of thi• project because of conflict of interest.
Winston Peeler's Winston Peeler 4600 Pewnss Drive, presented plena for
a Application for grading permit at 3401 Tuilieon Lens. It appeared
Grading Permit that the Special Use Permit in Flood Hazard Area was
3401 Tullison Lane. overlooked. The application for Special Use Permit in
Flood Nazard Area should be completed end approved by
the Planning Commission.
Alderman Burch moved that the Grading Application be
approved, seconded by Alderman Aylett, the rote wee:

TiF-Levee Stephen Crystal, Attorney for TIF Committee spoke to
Discussion. the Mayor and Board of Aldermen. The Committee was
able to complete tho finance plan which was given to
the Corps of Engineers for its approval. Nr. Crystal
explained the different steps which were taken From
the beginning of this pro~set and the financing; he
feels that much has been accomplished. Re explained
the reawn for passing an ordinance authorizing e
special election on August 6, 19%. Ne said the TIF
Commission will conduct a Public Nearing for ell
interested parties on June 27, 19%, at the Union Nel!
at 7:00 p.m.
Bill %-53 Alderman Burch moved to place Bill No. %-53 on its
Special Election - first reading, eeid bill provides for celiing a
L-385 Levee Special Election on an appropriation of funds for the
L-38S Laves Project Oue.tion in the City of Riverside,

present ware Alderwen Aylett, Tetere, Burch, Beard end
Flaws. Alderwen Auet was absent. Alwo present were
Ann Daniels, City Adwinistrator, Chief Bob Bayless,
Public Safety, Irene Psulhs, Sscrstery to Council, and
Don Witt, City Attorney. Mayor Ruls presided over the
rewainder of the westing.
Kenneth Whittiseey, Kenneth Whittleeey, 5016-High Drive spoke to the Mayor
5016 High Drive and Board of Alderwen regarding the iwprovswent of
Re: iwprovswent to Hillside Street, where they constructed a Wall end
Millside Street closed off hi• driveway to the property south of him
house. He said he has heard nothing frow the City or
its attorney and he said he will now mettle for 12900,
before he will encounter wore expense. The Board will
dieeuse this wetter and wake a decision.
Platte Purchase A diecueslon wee had regarding the paying off the
Bridge Bonds fIt250,000 Bonds on the Platte Purchase Bridge. It wee
decldad to have a westing with the City, Argosy,
Platte County Cowwission and Missouri Highways and
Traneportetion Departwent to sae what contribution all
the parties-can wake toward the peywent of the Bonds
so that the Missouri Highway Depertwsnt can resurface
the bridge.
Aidsrwan Begird Alderwen Begird wee excused ss a Board Mewbsr end spoke
Polierd Facility to the Mayor and Board se a privets Citizen regarding
using the Pollard Facility in Lathrop, MO, for housing
prisoners when the Platte County fail was filled. Ms
had accuwulated inforwation regarding the insurance
and other Cities using the Pollard Facility. This
wetter wa• discussed and City Attorney Don Witt will
check into this and report beck to the Board.

Fast Property A discussion xaa had concerning the correction of the
Hillside & South drainage on the Fast property at the corner of
Streets. Hillside and South Streets. Alderwan Aylett will look
at this property to see how it can be corrected end
reporE to the Board.
George Fiaxs' Ths drainage problsw on the Flews property was
1004 HW Indian Lane discussed. The plan eubwitted by F:en Vaughn will be
used to wake correction. to the Flaws driveway. !!e.
Daniels stated the Engineer did not believe thi• would
correct all the drainage but the Flaws did not wish to
hew their yard further disturbed. Ths contractor for
the project will re-do the work at this area.
Howeetead Drainage The drainage on Howeeteed Street was discussed.
Alderwan Beard wooed that the City get three
cowpetitivs bids on the stores drainage pro~eat and
than have lien Vaughn drew up specifications for the
stores drainage end street work for a separate project,
seconded by Burch, the vote was:

Cherokee Drainage The drainage on Cherokee was discussed. It wee
decided to have the detail drawings cowplsted to have

the atom drainage corrected behind Nr. Shaver'm
property et 313 NW Cherokee which would include
installation of an additional inlet and grading to
alleviate the ponding water. Ken Vaughn will
coordinate thi• with the contractor and Larkin.
Cone's Property The Cone's property et 4811 N. Hillside was discussed
end the rip-rap will bs put in place, where it is
eroding.
Neyor Rule's Nayor Rule suggested that Nattox Road be aeeied and
cowwants - Nattox chipped. Gary Wehi will do the work for 830,000.
Street. Alderwan Ayiett coved that the City seal and chip
wattox road, for the suw of 830,000, if Flawing end
Babcock will agree to weintain the area in front of
their business, seconded by Alderwan Beard, the vote
