MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF
BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI

A reguier westing of the Board of Alderwen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri wee held in the City Nall in Riverside, Missouri on Decewber 3, 1996
et 7:30 p.w.
Thooe present wore: Mayor Rule, Alderwen Aylett, Totoro, Auet, Burch,
Board and Flews.
Alec present were Ann Danielo, City Adwinistretori Steve Cryetel,
Attorney= Robert Baylose, Director of Public Sefetyi NsnA !Gene, Codes
Enforcewent Officer end Irene Paulhe, Secretary to the Board.
Ninutee 1i-19-96 Alderwen Beard wooed to approve the Ninutee of
Approved. Novewber 19, 1996, seconded by Alderwen Aylett, the
vote wee:

Abstained: Alderwen Burch beceuee she was not present

Bill Woodside, 8111 Woodside, 3803 NW Oshcrest Drive, Keneee City,
Perwit for 9laoting, Missouri 64151, representing Dswon Purnell
Devon Purnell Con- Construction Cowpeny presented application for
etruction Co., High 93asting Perwit on the High Sahooi Site. Ann Deniole
School. Approved. said there have been several weetinge with Dswon
Pur••11 Construction Cowpony on the requirewente for
the blasting perwit. Bill Woodside did not have an
exact date of the blasting, fie said it could be in e
wesA or ten days. There would be bleating for the
water, sewer, eta. lines end another for the street
entering the project frow the west. Further
discussion wee hsd. It wee agreed that the
Construction Cowpony would inforw ell the close
residents when the blasts will tehe place. It was
also brought out that anyone cisiwing dewagee frow the
blasting efiouid contact Dswon Pureeii Construction
Cowpony or the School District ae the City hee no
responsibility for this worn.

for Dswon Purnell Construction Cowpony, seconded by
Alderwen Aylett, the vote wee:

Bob Beylesm, Chief, said Chet they tske photographs of
all boxes end materiel used in the blseting project
for Suture reference, if neaeeeery end it was oleo
brought out that the blseting had to be done in
accordance with Article 77 of the Fire Code.
Public 3efety Chief Bob Bsyleee said that they here been

City Administrator's Ann Deniele, explained our participation in the
fleaommendation of Rotating Recycling Grant. Four communities or cities

Rotating Recycling their week end to contract for the recycling. Ali
Grant. each City nsedo is to provide for their own safety
items which becomes the City's property in en amount
not to exceed f1t4,300.00. Bridging the Gep provides
the manager end trains peoplo who will help with the

Aldermen Burch roved that the City participate in the
Rotating Recycling Grant, seconded by Aldermen Aylett,

Diecuaeion of plat- Ann Daniels said it wee suggested that a special

Diacueeion on LAGERS Ann Danisle provided the lleyor and Board with date
Retirement Plen, concerning the LAGERS retirement pion for City
employees. This wee discussed end the ensue! coat to
the City would be approximately 638,000.
Alderman Aylett moved to approve the LAGERS Retlremsnt
Plan, seconded by Alderman Tetere <Aldermen Burch did
not participate in the voti~sg), the vote wee:

Raplacewent of 1988 Ann Daniale explained to the Kayor and Board regarding
Caprice, the coots for repairing the 1988 Caprice and since tho
repairs are vary exponeive, she wanted to know if she
could eearah for a replecswent vehicle for the Codes
Enforaewent Officer. It wse the aonesneue of the
Board of Alderwsn that Ann Denielo search for a
repleaowent vehicle for the Codes Enforcewent Officer
end Chet she reports beak et the next westing on whet
she has found.
Cowwsnte on Kester Aiderwen Flaws said he would like to oee the !faster
Plan. Plan ewanded, i.e. that portion pertaining to the
on/off retype of I-633 on ffigh Drive, since there
seowe to be wuch controversy ovor it. Alderwsn
Burch was in agreewent with this es well se sows of
the other alderwen. It was explained that the
Planning Cowwieeion should have the public hearing
[January 28, 1997) end they will recowwend t0 the
Board of Alderwsn concerning the Kanter Plan. Thors

continued until the next BZA hearing. Attorney
Crystal will help the person or person• cowplete the
application and explain or answer any questions
concerning the application end peering.
Alderwen Burch'e Alderwen Burch suggested eoweone west with the School
Cowwente. District or Nichesl pureell for thew to clean the
wud off of Nigh Drive and to not use Nigh Drive for
the heavy equipwont. They are to use the entrance off
of No. 9 Nigbwey.
