MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF
BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
MAY 9, 1995
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City
of Riverslde, Missouri was held in the City Hall in
Riverside, Missouri on May 9, 1995 at 7:30 p.m. Those
present were Aldermen Aust, Teters, Beard, Owen, Aylett and
Marshall, absent. Mayor Burch called said meeting to order.
It was decided to dispense with the reading of the
minutes of April 11, April 18 and May 2, 1995.
Mr. Phil Snowden presented the following applications
for a proposed golf driving range development located west of
Line Creek and North of Argosy Parkways
Change of Use Permit; Alderman Aust made a motion to
approve the Change of Use Application from agriculture to
golf driving range for the proposed golf driving range,
seconded by Aldermen Beard. The roll was called and vote was
Aldermen Aylett, Aye; Alderman Teters, Aye; Alderman Aust,
Aye; Alderman Beard, Aye; Alderman Owen, Aye; Marshall,
absent.
Special Use Permit in a Flood Hazard Area. Alderman
Aust made a motion to approve the Special Use Permit,
seconded by Alderman Teters. The roll was called and vote
was Alderman Aylett e, Aye; Alderman Teters, Aye; Alderman
Aust, Aye; Alderman Beard, Aye= Alderman Owen, Aye; Marshall,
absent.
Filling-Grading Permit. To allow the area of 14+
(fourteen) acres to be filled to the 100 year flood level.
Alderman Beard made a motion to approve the Filling-Grading
Permit, seconded by Alderman Aust. The roll was called and
vote was Alderman Aylett, Aye; Alderman Teters, Aye; Alderman
Aust, Aye; Alderman Beard, Aye; Alderman Owen, Aye; Marshall,
absent.

Alderman Aust moved to place Bill No. 95-24 on its first
reading, seconded by Alderman Teters., said bill provides for
the exchange of land between the City of Riverside and Phil
and Jane Snowden. The roll was called and vote was Alderman
Aylett, Aye; Alderman Teters, Aye; Alderman Aust, Aye;
Alderman Beard, Aye; Alderman Owen, Aye; and Alderman
Marshall, absent.
Alderman Aust moved to place Bill No. 95-24 on its
second reading, seconded by Alderman Beard. The roll was
called and vote was Alderman Aylett, Aye; Alderman Teters,
Aye; Alderman Aust, Aye; Alderman Beard, Aye; Alderman Owen,
Aye; and Alderman Marshall, absent.

Alderman Aust made a motion to accept the bid from Grass Pad
for tree replacements, seconded by Alderman Beard. The roll
was called and the vote was Alderman, Aylett, Aye; Alderman

Alderman Owen, Aye; and Alderman Marshall, absent.

A new reservation form for the Renner-Brenner Park
was presented by Alderman Aylett. After reviewing the
changes i.e, additional fees for the shelter house Gazebo and
Volleyball Court, the new reservation form was approved. (See
attachment).
A request was made from the Riverside Chamber of
Commerce asking the City to participate in placing an ad for
the City. This will be a (3) three color map and will be
distributed by the Chamber.
Alderman Aust made a motion to accept the request by the
Chamber to participate in placing an ad for the City for
8750.00, seconded by Alderman Teters. The roll was called
and the vote was Alderman Aylett, Ayer Alderman Teters, Ayer
Alderman Aust, Ayer Alderman Beard, Ayer Alderman Teters, Aye
and Alderman Marshall, absent.

The Mayor reviewed the landscape project south of West
Platte Road along the entrance to (9) Nine Highway. After a
discussion, it was the consensus of the board to proceed with
obtaining bids.
A new mowing tractor was discussed by the board and Ray
Beard is to get with Larry Reece and secure bids.
The Riverside Master Plan minutes were discussed and
amended by the board. The Mayor will have the revisions
retyped and mailed out to the Board of Aldermen.
Eight (8) City Administrator Applications were reviewed
and interviews will be set up with the eight applicants as
soon as possible.
There being no further business to come before the
board, upon motion duly made, seconded and passed meeting
adjourned at 9:50 p.m.

applies. Money is not refunded due to damage or failure to clean the area you had reserved.

A notice will be placed at the shelter house at least 2 days prior to your reservation. A copy of your
reservation is also given to the Public Satety Department.
The shelter house and gazebo are lighted. The shelter house has 3 bar-b-que grills and electrical
outlets. The electrical outlets are powered 24 hours a day and the light run automatically off of
timers. Depending on the time of year, the bathrooms are unlocked from dawn to dusk and Gave no
night interior lighting after dark (except by special permission). If the bathrooms are locked during
your function, you can request they be unlocked by a member of the Public Safety Department at
City Hall. Water is available in the park Please take your trash with you, or distribute your trash
in container throughout the park.
