The following bide were received on improving Hillside Drive and South Street: G. C. Construction 5685,822.75 City Wide Asphalt 692,401.35 Asphalt Plant Sales 604,393.28 Bob Muehlberger Concrete 647,865.42 McAnany Construction Co. 735,964.35 TSC of Kansas Inc. 677,556.67 J. M Fahey Construction 774,543.50 Pyramid Excavation 694,193.50 Vision Construction Co. 670,809.43 These bids were discussed. It waa pointed out that Bob Muehlberger's coat for staking the streets is 513,900.00, which is included in the bid on improving the streets. Alderman Tetera moved that the City accept the bid of Bob Muehlberger Concrete in the sum of 5647,865.42 for improvement of Hillside Drive and South Street as recommended by Larkin and Associates, City Engineer, seconded by Alderman Auat, the vote was Aldermen Owen, Beard, Auat and Teters, yes; Aldermen Marshall and Aylett absent. Mayor Burch announced that Delta Dental has increased its rate twenty cents per person. Alderman Aust moved that the City accept the increase of twenty cents per person on the Delta Dental Insurance, seconded by Alderman Beard, the vote wsa Aldermen Teters, Auat, Beard and Owen, yes; and Aldermen Aylett and Marshall, absent. Mayor Burch said that the City has received notification that Kansas City, Missouri has raised the reciprocal agreement for their treatment of Riverside's sewerage by 51.44 per resident; .73 on Apts., Mobile Parka and other multiple family residents (based on usage); .73 Commercial and Industrial Cbased on usage). Meeting, May 30, 1995. imposed by Kansas City, Missouri on the sewerage treatment for residents in Riverside by 51.44 per resident; .73 on apartments, mobile parks and other multiple family residents (depending us usage); .73 on Commercial and Industrial users (depending on usage), seconded by Alderman Beard, the vote was Aldermen Teters, Owen, Aust and Beard, yes; Aldermen Aylett and Marshall, absent. Alderman Marshall present this portion of meeting (Approximately 8:00 p.m.). Mayor Burch read a letter from Kathy Roae reporting on the seminar she attended for Court Clerks. Mayor Burch reported that she and Alderman Owen have been working on fob description for animal control person and will come up with recommendation to employ someone very shortly. Mayor Burch said that the van vehicle is being repaired for the animal control person and the City is planning on having three holding pens in the new maintenance building. It was nlso suggested to have the animal control person have a uniform shirt identifying the City end animal control person. Mayor Burch said one person they have interviewed has a certification of being an animal control person and the second person would be a part time one and could work on getting a certification. Alderman Owen presented a letter, dated Mey 24, 1955 to each of the Aldermen which she had received from our prior employee, Don Brundridge. It was reported that the culvert at the end of Valley and Northwest Platte is being cleaned out by the Missouri Highway Department. There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion duly made, seconded and passed, meeting adjourned at 9:20 p.m. p
