MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF
BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
JUNE 28, 1994
A regular meeting of the Berard of Aldermen of the City
of Riverside, Missouri was held an June 28, 1994, at 7:30
p. m. Thr_,se present were Aldermen Teters, Aust, Marshall and
Rule; Wedua and Owen absent. Mayor Betty Burch called said
meeting to order.
It was decided to dispense with the reading of the
minutes of May 24, June 4, June 14 and June 21, 1994 for the
present time.
George Englezos presented business license and change
of use far Mr. Submarine at 4435 NW Gateway. He brought
pictures of previous businesses he had at different
locations. He said he will have five units at Pic Plaza. He
did not Shaw any drawings of remodeling and he has not gotten
a sales tax number. It was also noted an his application
that it was a corporation and other officers needed to be
furnished.
A motion for the change of use permit was rnade by Teters
and seconded by Marshall. The vote was Aldermen Teters,
Aust, Marshall and Rule, yes; Wedua and Owen absent.
The Business License was approved subject to a sales tax
number being furnished and payment of the fee.
Dan Peak representing Dr. Noyes and Mr. Tatt, who awns
the property south of,Renner-Brenner Park, for special use
permit, special permit in flood area and change of use far a
parking lot at this area.
Alderman Mar^shall moved to approve the change of use
from its present residential and business to a parking lot,
seconded by Alderman Rule, the vote was Aldermen Teters,
Aust, Marshall and Rule, yes; Wedua and Owen absent.
Alderman Rule moved to approve the Special Use Permit
for the parking lot, seconded by Alderman Marshall the vote
was Aldermen Teters, Aust, Marshall and Rule, yes; Wedua and
Owen absent.
Alderman Marshall Moved to approve the Special Use in
Flood Hazardous Area far the parking lot, seconded by
Alderman Rule, the vote was Alderman Rule, Marshall, Aust and
Teters, yes; Wedua and Owen absent.
Alderman Teters absent this part ion of meeting.
Mayor Burch said that she wanted it to be known that she
was against any kind of fire work display at the Baptist

The fallowing Hids were received an the improvement of
Merrimac Street:
Sub-cantractar~ s Inc. X340, 136. 00
Pob Muehlberger Concrete 357,397.36
City Wide 340,349.10
Since the City Engineers estimate was lower than the
above bids, it was decided to ga out for bids again. The
City Engineer will look over- the bids and get back with the
City. The market, on this type of work, is saturated and the
construction people do not need the work.
Alderman Rule moved to approve the 1994-95 budget as
presented, seconded by Alderman Marshall, the vote was
Alderman Rule, Marshall and Aust, yes; Teters, Wedua and Owen
absent.
Mayor Surch announced that the City was getting ready
to widen VanDePopulier Street where it crosses the BN
railroad tracks. It appears that it will be necessary far
the City to enter into a Reimbursement Agreement with Texaco
Dil Gompany to complete the adJustrnent of the Pipeline at a
cast of X15,000 to the City.
E. H. Young and Winston Peeler's fill and grading
permits were discussed. It was brought out that bath permits
had expired.
Mayor Hurch said that two people had been interviewed
far the City Manager Position and both were very impressive.
More applicants will be interviewed.
The minutes of May 24, 1994 were read and approved.
The minutes of June 7, 1994 were read and approved as
corrected.
The minutes of June 14, 1994 were read and approved.
The minutes of June 21, 1994 were read and approved as
corrected.
There being na further business to came before the
Board, upon motion duly made, seconded and eased, meeting
adjourned at 10:30 p. m.
