MINUTES OF SGECIAL MEETING, OF BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI SEGTEMBER 1, 1994 A special meeting of the Huard of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri at 7:rDQ p. m. Those present were Aldermen Wedua, Teters, Marshall, Rule and Owen; Alderman Aust was absent. Mayor Betty Burch called said meeting to order. It was decided to dispense with the reading of the minutes of August 16, 1994 for the present time. Alderman Rule moved that the meeting ga into closed session to discuss personnel and litigation matters in accordance with .Missouri State Statutes 61O.Q~21 and 610.21 sub-section 1. Alderman Teters moved that the meeting ga into regular session, seconded by Alderman Wedua, the vote was Rlderrnen Wedua, Teters, Marshall, Rule and Owen, yes, Alderman Aust absent. Mayor Hutch presided aver the remainder of the meeting. Mayor Burch recommended to the Council that the City to dismiss the suit entitled Sanchez et al v Daman Gursell. Alderman Marshall moved to place Hill No. 94-52 an its first reading, said Bill authorizes the City Attorney to dismiss the City~s interpleader action filed in the case styled Sanchez, et al v. Daman Gursell Construction Cornpanv, seconded by Alderman Rule, the vote was Alder^man Owen, aye; Alderman Rule, aye; Alderman Wedua, abstained; Alderman Teters, aye; Alderman Marshall, aye; Alderman Aust, absent. Alderman Rule moved to place Bill No. 94-52 an its second reading, seconded by Alderman Marshall, the vote was Alderman Owen, aye; Alderman Rule, aye; Alderman Wedua, abstained, Alder^man Teters, aye; Alderman Marshall, aye; and Alderman Aust, absent. Upon the Bill having been read two times and ca pi es of the Hill having been made far public inspection prior to consideration of the board of Aldermen, Bill No. 94-52 was passed. Mayor Burch repot^ted that E. L. Tree ~ Lawn Company said that their bid far removal of two of the tree stumps on Nigh Drive and cutting the other two trees to ground level would be X670.00. A drawing was presented to the Council an changing the place where the flag pole should be placed (East of its present location) and rernave the present flag pale by the City. It was the consensus of the Council to remove the present flag pole and shrubs and place the new flag pole in 4 I the same area. Alderman Wedua said that Mattax road had been sealed and chipped in 1993. That he suggested that Mattax Raad and VanDeF~apulier be graded and he will contact the Special Raad District to dc. the grading.
