Missouri, was held in the Gity Hall in Riverside, on Nareh 16, ~'61?,l, at 8:00 p.m. and- uprsa h roll call, aldermen Bailey, Layton. Shai tol, fwetnam, Wlgemo+~t ware firesant, Brenner, absent, and Mayor anger calling said wasting to order. ftinutus of March ~, 1971, were rea8 and accepted as read. Treasurer's report for month of February 1971 was read and aeceptad as read. Mr. Hornbeck inquired with regard to his selling bottled gas for the trailers, and he was advised he could, since he was selling and repairing trailers. Bailey moved that Bill 58-~i1 be placed on its first reading, seconded by Layton. the roll was called and votes were as follows Bailey,Layton, Shelton, Swatnam and Vulgamott noted ayer Brenner, absents Bill 58-R-1 was accordingly read. Bailey moved the t rules be suspended and Bill Ho. Shelton waved that the ordinance be changed to get it away from an engineer inspecting the sewer and buildings and that have an inspector: to sea if this would be legal cad if saws be legal that Yulgimott be the inspector or sanitation officer fos ;15.00 per inspection, and also if this be legal fora council meatier to held this position, seconded by Layton, the roll was called and all,~ro sent voted in favor and Brenner being absent. After a discus8ion was had, the suggestion that if he could work out an agreement with all .the people using the sewer to pay for it, as was done in another sewer di:trio, this would probably be the best. However, the city should have a copy of the contract and how the line is to be built and how he proposes to obtain the money for same. Mr. Ray Jackson presented the plans with regard to the sewer coming doom Burlington Creek and explained the project to the City of Riverside. He stated that Riverside would receive benefit from this oats as well as Kansas City and upon motion by Shelton that since the Bur ton Creek interceptor project will .benefit Riverside and Kansas is in keeping with the Municipal Agreement as it is written and iverside Board of Aldermen approve the construction of the Burlington Creek Project seconded by Layton, the roll was called and votesxsasex were in favor of same, Bailey and Swetnam absentl Mr. Don Jack stated that aosaething sbmuid be tic siai worked out for Lee Bush and John Blogin to get into the sewer, as they were ~;-: working on same., and requesting this be ®one.
