HomeMy WebLinkAbout2007-05 Street Name Changes in Argosy Riverside Casino PlatRESOLUTION N0.2007-OS A RESOLUTION PROPOSING CHANGING THE NAMES OF CERTAIN CITY STREETS IN THE ARGOSY RIVERSIDE CASINO PLAT WITHIN THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI WHEREAS, the City of Riverside, Missouri (the "City") has accepted the dedication of a street located in the Argosy Riverside Casino Plat as a public street, and the name of such street was provided and established in the fmal plat of such subdivision; and WHEREAS, the street, as indicated on the Plat of Argosy Riverside Casino, a subdivision in Platte County, Missouri, recorded with the Platte County Recorder of Deeds on December 31, 2001, at Book 19, Page 128, (the "Plat"), is known as Argosy Pazkway; and WHEREAS, the City reviewed a proposal to change the subject street names to provide for consistency and greater ease of use and to promote the public health, safety and welfaze; and WHEREAS, the proposed street name changes would change the name of Argosy Parkway to N.W. Argosy Casino Pazkway along the portion of the street described in Exhibit A hereto; and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen determined that adopting and approving the proposed street name change is necessary in the best interests of the City and promotes the public health, safety and welfare. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri; as follows: Section 1. It is necessary that the street known as Argosy Parkway within the City of Riverside, Missouri, as described, shown and reflected on the plat, recorded with the Platte County Recorder of Deeds on December 31, 2001, at Book 19, Page 281, be renamed as N.W. Argosy Casino Parkway Section 2. Notice of this Resolution shall be published at least one week in the manner provided by law. Section 4. The Boazd of Alderman should consider adoption of an Ordinance to change the name of such street as provided herein not less than four (4) weeks after publication pursuant to Section 2 of this Resolution Passed this 20th day of March, 2007. /s/ Kathleen L.
