A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside, Missouri desires to adjust its corporate limits so as to
annex certain unincorporated territory to the municipality; and
WHEREAS, said real estate as hereinafter described is adjacent to the present corporate
limits and contiguous to the present corporate limits of the City of Riverside, Missouri; and
WHEREAS, the perimeter of the area proposed to be annexed is 10,055.16 feet and the
length of the contiguous boundary common to the existing corporate limit of the City of
Riverside, Missouri, and the proposed area to be annexed is 5,548.70, which is equal to at
least fifteen percent of the length of total perimeter of the area proposed for annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Riverside, Missouri, that the City declares its intent to annex the following described
unincorporated area to the corporate limits of the City of Riverside, Missouri:
All that part of the West One Half of Section 5, Township 50, Range 33, Platte County,
Missouri, described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest comer of the Northwest
Quarter of said Section 5; thence South 89 degrees 01 minutes 09 seconds East, along the
North line of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 5, a distance of 2615.07 feet to the
Northeast corner of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 5; thence South 00 degrees 20
minutes 51 seconds Wost along the East line of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 5, a
distance of 2626.27 feet to the Southeast corner of the Northwest Quarter of said Section
5; also being the Northeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 5; thence
South 00 degrees 21 minutes 08 seconds West along the East line of the Southwest
Quarter of said Section 5, a distance of 128.89 feet to the Northerly Right-of-'way line of
Missouri State Route 9; thence North 57 degrees 03 minutes 17 seconds West, along said
Right-of-Way line, a distance of 627.08 feet; thence continuing along said line North 69
degrees 37 minutes 59 seconds West, a distance of 289.80 feet; thence continuing along
said line North 74 degrees 19 minutes 48 seconds West, a distance 445.37 feet; thence
continuing along said line North 73 degrees 52 minutes 59 seconds West, a distance of
1085.20 feet; thence continuing along said line North 82 degrees 34 minutes 55 seconds
West, a distance of 343.65 feet to the West line of the Northwest Quarter of said Section
5; thence North 00 degrees 21 minutes 59 seconds East, along the West line of the
Northwest Quarter of said Section 5, a distance of 1892.11 feet to the point of Beginning.
Said Tract contains 133.27 Acres more or less.
