HONORING THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE
September 26, 1996
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside serves as a gateway to Platte Couuty; and
WHEREAS, a smaller community located at the edge of a large metropolitan area offers
its citizens a highly desirable quality of life; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside has survived natural disasters through the hard work
and determination of its residerrts, government and other interested citizens; and
WHEREAS, the government of the City of Riverside is actively undertaking a number of
major capital improvements which will have a positive effect upon the citizens of the community as
well as the County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Platte County Commission hereby
congratulates the City of Riverside on its 45th anniversary and hopes that its Fall Festival to be
held September 27-29 is a memorable success.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, we have hereunto set our hand in the County of Platte
this 26th day of September, 1996.
