These present were Wedua, Teters, Aust and Rule were present; Marshall and Kar^r absent. It was decided to dispense with the r^eading of the minutes of May 18, 1993 and June 1, 1993 for the present t ime. Leland M. Walker, 4429 We l dwoad Dr^. , Gladstone, MO 641 16 of First National Bank of Platte Ca., 118 West Platte Industrial Park, presented business license application for said bank. This was appr~_~ved, subject to the payment of the fee. Ed Farnuliner, 654 East 53rd Street, Kansas City, MO 64 19 pr^esented Application to sell fireworks, Missouri Fire Marshall's permit, letter from Mr. Kenny regarding the parking, sales tax paid up to date; these wer^e approved subaect to the payment of the fee. Marilyn Brenner, 5111 NW Northwood Road, spoke to the Mayor and Board, requesting permission to serve Beer and Wine at the Republic Women's Camrnittee meeting at the City park on June 18, 1993. She said she has r^eserved the park. only if it rains. If the weather is clear^, she will have the meeting at her house and it will not be necessary to have the permission. This matter was discussed. Alderwornan A~.ist moved that Marilyn Brenner's request to serve wine and beer at the City Park fcn^ the Republic Women's Committee r_,n J~_tne 18, 1993, subject to her filing the necessary application and that the application be approved by Chief Bab Bayless, seconded by Alderman Rule, the vote was Alderwc•,man Aust, Alderwornan Teters, Alderman Wedua and Alderman R~_ile, yes; Alderman Marshall and Alderman Karr abserrt. Alderwornan Aust moved to p~_it Bill No. 93-W7 cm the fir^s•t reading, seconded by Alderwornan Teters, this Bi11 emends the liquor code of the City ~~~f Riverside, Missouri relating tc~ S~_inday Liq~_iar Sales. The vote was as follows: Alderwornan Teters, aye; Alder^woman Aust, aye; Alderman Wedua, aye; Alderman Rule, aye; Alderman Marshall, absent; Alder^man Kar^r, absent. Alderman Rule moved that Bill No. 93-27 be placed an second reading, seconded by Alderman Wedua and the vote was as follows: Alderwornan Teters, aye; Alderwornan Aust, aye; Alder^man Wedua, aye; Alderman Rule, aye; Alderman Marshall, absent; Alderman Karr absent. They i nq ~.~ i r^ed whether r,r oat they could have a R5' cold air balloon and a .°,' xi@' sign. This matter was disc~_issed. Tt was decided that each firework business could have only the do~.ible face 4'x8' sign. The following bids were received an seal coating the City Hall's parking lot; McCarm~on (seal coating only) ~15~0. FenWell Fear^king Lat Maintenance (seal coating and sealing cracks) X1656. Alderman Rule moved that we ar_cept the bid of HenWell F~arking Lot Maintenance far the s~.im of X1656 to seal the cracks and seal coat the City Hall's Fear^king Lot, which appears to be the best bid, seconded by Alderwarnan Aust, the vote was Alderwarnan Teters, yea; Alderman Rule, yes; Alderman Wedua, yes; Alderwarnan Aust, yes and Aldermen Marshall and Karr absent. Mayor Rurch said that Mr. Sarn Aylett said that he thought the City co~_rld build the proper animal shelter at the end of NW Vivian. He could also provide the City with prayer Regs from the State for the City to obtain bids on b~_iilding the animal shelter. 7h is matter was discussed. Alderman Rule rnaved to put Rill No. 53-~8 an the fir^st reading, seconded by Alderman Wedua, said bill provides fc~r the r^epealing of Section 16.7 of the Cade of Ordinances r_~f the City of Riverside, Missouri and enacting a new Section 16.7 regarding public sewer^s, and the r^ates to be charged far the use and service thereof. The vote was as follows: Alderwarnan Aust, aye; Alder^rnan Wedua, aye; Alderman Rule, aye; Alderwarnan Teters, aye; Alderman Marshall, absent and Alderman Kar^r^, absent. Alderman Rule moved to place Ri11 No. 5~-58 an secr_,r~d reading, seconded by Alder^man Wedua, the vote was as follows: Alderwarnan Aust, aye; Alder^rnan Wedua, aye; Alderman R~_rle, F Rage 3, Min. Reg. Meet., 6-8-93 aye; Alderwarnan Teter^s, aye; and Alderman Marshall, absent; and Alderman Kar^r, absent. Upon the Hill having been read two times by title and copies of the bill having been made available far public inspection prior to consider^ati~~n by the board of Aldermen, Hill Na. 93-Hg is passed. (clean City Hall 3 tunes a week) ~1985.5a - (initial clean up> X1478.75 Alderwoman Aust moved that the City employ Fresh as a Daisy to clean the City Hall as presented in its bid, which appeared to be the best bid, seconded by Alderman R~_ile, the vote was: Alderwoman Teters, yes; Alderwarnan, Aust, yes; Alderman Wedua, yes; Alderman Rule, yes; Alder^nran Karr, absent; and Alderman Marshall, absent. Alderwarnan Teters suggested that sarnething be dare to have the Totals Service Station (Kennys) on NW Vivian da sr_,rne cleaning up and also s~.rggested sarnething be done to have the people in the old public library da some cleaning up. Alder^mar~ Wedua said that VanDeRapulier needed carne rack. an the r^aad, bath rear^th and south of the rai lr^aad tracks. Mayor Hurch said she and Alderman Wedua would like the permission to go ahead and start the irnpravernent of Merr^inrac Street and 5cnd Street. The Aldermen agreed to this.
