BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENT
NOVEMBER 19, 1998
The Board of Zoning Adjustment of the City of Riverside met in
the City Hall in Riverside. Missouri on November 19, 1998, at 7:30
p.m. The following members of the BZA were present: Chairman Bill
Bright called said meeting to order and those present were Bob
Krick, Sharon Owen, Betty Johnson and Darrell Bisges.
Also present were Dwight Flowers. Code Enforcement Officer.
Kenneth Whittlesey, Applicant, Ben O'Dowd, Builder of the Modular
House and Irene Paulhe. Secretary to the Board.
Dwight Flowers. Code Enforcement Officer. reported that Mr.
Kenneth Whittlesey had applied for a permit for a modular house at
5020 Hill Side and since the City Ordinances do not provide for a
modular house. he is here before the BZA for a permit. It appears -`
that all papers are in order and recommends approval of the
Application.
Mr. Kenneth Whittlesey said that the reason he applied for a
permit for a modular house is because it will be ready for him to
move in within 30 days after the foundation is completed and he
would not be bothered with builders. He also said there is quite
a financial savings.
it appeared on the plot plan that one side of the building
would be less than the required 35-foot set back. Mr. Whittlesey
said there would be no problem to move the building in order to
have the required 35-foot set-back.
Mr. Ben O'Dowd summarized the procedure for-the building and
placement of the modular house.
Betty Johnson moved that the application for a modular house
presented by Kenneth Whittlesey at 5020 Hill Side be approved,
provided that the building be changed on the plat and built with a
35-foot set back from both streets. i.e. Hill Side and High Drive,
seconded by Sharon Owen, the vote was:
Aye: Darrell Bisges, Betty Johnson, Sharon Owen, Bob Krick
and Bill Bright.
Motion carried.
