HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-07-17 Board of Zoning Adjustment MinutesMINUTES OF MEETING OF' RIVERSIDE, MISSOUIti BOARD OF 'CONING ADJUSTMENT JULY 17, 1997 "The Board of Zoning Adjustment mct in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on July 1"l, 1997 at 7:30 p.m. 'The following members of the BZA were present: Chairman Bill Bright Bob Crick, Sharon Owen, Dick Grogan and Darrell Bisges. Also present were Dwight Flowers, Code Enforcement Officer and Frankie McCallum and Darrell 7oseph Adner. The tape recording of this meeting is in the City Library. Dwight Flowers, Codc Enforcement Officer, reported that Frankie McCallum is here for request to build a garage with less than ordinance requirements, i.e., from ten feet to five feet from the property line, with set back from 35 feet to 20 feet. All necessary property owners in the vicinity have been notified of this and all necessary publications have been made. Ms. McCallum's application has been presented. along with a letter from the neighbor. Ms. Frankie McCallum said that her son, Darrell Joseph Adner, 4901 High Drive would be the spokesperson for her. Mr. Adner said because of the angle of the driveway to the garage, it would be necessary to have it set back within five feet of the side property line and 20 feet of the back property and also bccause of the lay of the land, i.c. there is a very steep incline to the north. They would like to build a garage 36'x24' for the storage of equipment, boats, work on his equipment. He said his neighbor, Tabscotts, have no objection. This matter was discussed. Darrell Bisges moved that the application be denied, seconded by Sharon Owen. The vote was: Aye: Darrell Bisges, Sharon Owen. Dick Grogan and Bill Bright. Nay: Bob Crick. Request was denied.
