These present wer^e Aldermen Teters, Karr, Rule and A~_ist; Aldermen Wed~.ra and Mar^shall were absent. Mayar Petty Ptrrch called said meeting to order. It was decided tc~ dispense with the reading of the minutes of July c0, 1993, J~_rly ~7, 199.3, J~.rly 31, 1993 a»d A~_rg~_rst 3, 1993 far the present time. Mayar^ Purch said she had attended a meeting on Friday, A~_rgust E, 1993 r^egar^ding the fl~~ad and she said it appears that an the City's expense will be paid as Fc~llaws: Federal Gc~vernrnent 75X; State Government 1@X and City 1~~, unless Pr^esident Clint an a~.rthor^izes the Federal G~~vernment tc~ pick up the Citty's portion. Mayer Purch said that she has carnpleted the application far the City's expenses an the flood and all that is left is a Resolution to be accepted. Alderman Aust moved that the City accept the Resalutian author^izi»g refund a» the expenses i»curred by the City regarding the flood ~_rnder section 39c88, as amended, seconded by Alderman Kar^r, the vote was Alderman Wedua absent; Alderman Karr, yes; A'lderrnan Teter^s, yes; Alderman Rule, yes; Alderman Aust, yes, Alderman Mar^shall, absent. Mayar Purch said that there will be people frarn FEMA tea speak at the Chamber of C~-~mrnerce breakfast; Pr~_rce C~_rlley, City Auditar^ will speak; sarneane from the public utilities, Mike Kaska; City Attar»ey Don Witt and per^haps someone fr^anr Larkin and Associates. A discussion was had as to whether^ c.r^ not the City should cant in~_ie furnishing duntpsters. Alderman Aust moved that the City c~_~ntin~_~e furnishing durnpsters far another week tr_. the b~_~sinesses far cleanup, secr_,nded by Alderman Karr^, the vote was Alder^rnan Karr^, yes; Alderman Rule, na; Alder^man Teter^s, yes; Alderman Aust, yes; Alderman Mar^shal 1, absent ; and Alder^mar~ Wedua, absent. Mayor Purch said that the incur^ance people said that the David Theatre was carnpletely totalled out. Mayar Purch said that she had taken Mr. Young to see the Theatre and told him that it was totalled. rlr^. Yai_rng did wa»t to get the horse out. It was suggested to wait until it T ,_ dried a~.it more before going in to see what ca~_ild be salvaged. Mayor E~~_irch said she is going ~_~ver the budget and wi 11 have to make some cut backs at least far September, October ar~d Novernber^, 1'3`33. May~_~r Burch said she met with the Fast Office people on the b~_~ilding. The Past Office people w~:,~_ild like a temporary b~.rilding in the City. Mr. Garrey is sending letter^s to all r^esidents in Pr^iar Cliff West suggesting contr^i6utians to thr^ee families suffer^ing lass in the flood in Riverside. It was reported that there is a vehicle on Valley Lane which d~~es riot have a license plate an i•t. The P~.iblic Safety Depar^tment is to check this out.
