PARK AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD OF THE CITY OF
RIVRRSIDE
November 17, 19B3
The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman, Bob Scudder.
Minutes were read and approved.
David Brenner made a motion that the Multi-purpose pad be made of asphalt rather
than concrete if the price is similar or less in coat. Bob Scudder seconded the
motion. It was approved.
The skating rink was discussed.
Betty Bureh volunteered to write a letter to State Rep. Bonnie Sue Copper to see
what grants will be available in this next ~~ear for parks.
The Park Board would like to ask the council about blading and seeding the area adjacent
to the east parking lot to be used for a soccer field.
We are to check with Turfs to see if they will honor the bi.d they gave us on 6~6~83
for the corner planting for park.
We will also request from the council permission to purchase 5 red maple trees.
There was some discussion on what we would like to accomplish by July, 1984.
Those present weres Bob Scudder, David Brenner, Betty Burch, and Lorain Owens.
