MINUTES OF SPECIAL BOARD OF ALDERMAN MEETING
CITY OF RIVERSIDE
JUNE 9, 1992
The Board of Alderman met is special session on June 9,
1992 at the Riverside City Hall at 7:30 p.m. Those present

Marshall and Wedua were absent. Mayor Betty Burch presided
over the meeting.
Mayor Burch presented an application for E. H. Young
for retail fireworks salsa. Application was approved.

Bides on patching the pot holes were opened. American
Marking and Paving bid ~t 3,982.00 and McConnell & Associates
bid ~ 8,100.00. This was tabled until the next meeting so
the bide could be compared.
Mayor Burch stated she had change order No. 2 for a
credit of ~ 62,472.84 on the sewer project. Alderman Rule
moved we accept the change order No. 2 for a credit of

Rule, Tetera and Shepard, Aye; Marshall and Wedua were
absent.
Virgil Griggs, 4703 NW Gower, Riveraide,Mo. 64151,
presented a business license application for Ready Liquid
Pumping, <RLP) to pump out the septic tanks into the sewer
line when hook ups are made. Application was approved upon
payment of th• fees.
Mayor Burch stated we would do the sewer billing on
single family residences beginning probably in July for the
month of June. A penalty was discussed and set at 9x. The
9%c penalty will go into effect after fifteen <15) days from
the date on the billing. An Ordinance is to be written to
this effect.
The overtime for the month of May was approved.
Mayor Burch read a letter from Sandra Day thanking the

City for considering her for the Municipal Judge.
Mayor Burch stated ah• was looking for donations to hook
the David Theater up to sewers. Bsemar will run the 300 fast
of sewer line and 6t 1.00 per foot. She stated the Chnmber
of Commerce would probably donate ~ g00 towards the cost of
it. Running a newer line to the park was also discussed.
Alderman Rule move that 8111 No. 92-33 be placed on its
first rending, said Bill provides for th• employment of
Richard Hedgecock as Malntenencs Person for the City of
Riverside, Missouri at the rate of # 8.00 per hour, seconded
by Alderman Karr, the vote was Ruls, Tetera, Shepard and

flowers that were destroyed during the sewer work. It was

Burch will talk to them.
Some work was done on the budget.
Removing a tree on Pawnee was discussed and bldg are to
be gotten for the removnl of same.
City Clerk is to contact the Swan Ice Cream for them to
get a business license.
