These present wer^e Wedua, Teter^s, Karr, Rule ar~d Mar^shall; Shepard, absent. Mayer Betty Bur^ch called said meeting to Grder^. It was decided tG dispense with the reading r_~f the minutes cif July 7, 1992, J~_ily 21, 1992 and Aug~_ist 4, 1992 for the pr^esent time. Whereupon, the Bi 11 having been made available for^ public inspect is ~n pr^ior^ to the consideraticrr~ of the Hear^d cif Alder^men, Hill NG. 92-51 Was pa55ed. The overtime for the month of A~_igust, 1992, was pr^esented to the Mayer^ and Boar^d. Kar^r moved that the overtime be approved as presented fi}r the month Gf August, 1992, seconded by Teters, the vote was: Marshall, R~_ile, Wed~_~a, FSar^r and Teter^s, yes; Shepar^d absent. The Minutes ~~f July 7, 1992, were r^ead and approved as cr_~rrected. The Minutes of J~_i1y 21, 1992, wer^e r^ead and appr^~~ved as cor^r^ected. Concerning Gary Hall's applications for Liquor License, Business License, and Change of Use, where he said he had already paid the fees, it was br^r_~ught Gut by City Cler^k r I F'age ~, Min. cif Req. Meeting, 9-1-92 Kerner^ling that nc~ mc~r,ey for^ liquor license was paid to the City by Mr. Hall. Riverside Chamber of Cornrnerce again requested a liqucm 1 iceY,se tc. sell 1 iquc~r^ at the N,r^axy Kats Dance on September^ c:5, 19`3:_ curly. Karr^ moved that the River'side Chamber of Cr_,rnrnerce have per~rnission to sell liquor^ or, Septerber^ 25, 1992 only, seconded b•y Wedua, the vote was Rule, Karr, Teter^s, Wed~_ra and Marshall, yes; Shepard absent. A letter^ frc~rn the Missouri Departrner,t of Revenue, dated August 19, 1992, was r^ead, this per~tained to the Local Use Tax of 1-1l2X, effective J~_~ly 1, 1992. This will be withheld and administered by the Directcm of Revenue and distr^ib~_ited to each local taxing authority imposing a local sales tax. If it is r~_rled that this is not legal, the money will be r^et ur^Y,ed by the State. An Animal Training F'rograrn wi 11 be held at Col~_~rnbia, Misso~.rri for' thr^ee days. Rick Hedgecock said he wr~_~ld like t~~~ attend this seminar fr_,r^ twc~ days, the cost would be 'b1~0 fc~r^ lodging, '•G10D for f.=god and ?.50 for^ car expense. Mayor Punch said that a co~_rple weeks ago she r^ecomrnended the City go with P1~_re Crass on the medical ins~_rrance, which would save the City some money, however, now she ~_rr,derstands then^e wo~_rld be Borne complications involved in changing over to P1~_re Cross ar,d she r~ecornrner,ds that the City stays with Ka i ser~ Rer^rraner,t e. Marshall moved that the City remain with Kaiser^ F'errnar,ente for' the medical insurance, seconded by Kar^r^, the v. ate was: Teters, Wedua, Mar^shal 1, Karr and R~_,le, yes; Shepar^d, absent. Mayor Porch said cr_,Y,cerr,ing the bid ...r, removal of the tr^ee at 4413 NW pawnee, Town and Co~_rntry bid 'b700, but this did r,c~t include the r^ernaval cif the st~_rrnp. The other^ bids wen^e Rick.°s Tr^ee and Sturnp Removal for X1250; Northland Tr^ee r I Min. .,f Reg. Mayor^ Burch said that Chief Br_,b Bayless is attending a meetings at Platte City, along with other people r^egar^ding the building of the County Jail and left a few things for her t~:, r^ep+~rt. Mayor Burch said that Chief Bayless is increasing the patrol in the b~_isiness area because of an increased number^ cif break.-iris. Chief Bayless also left a repor^t that a co~_iple days agcy someone had thrown a picnic table into the creek and thought it could have possibly been teenagers and wanted tc~ know how the parents c~puld be made r^esp~_~r~sible for^ the childr^en ~_inder sixteen, per^haps check with other cities to see what type of or^dinances they have contr^olling ,juveniles. Mayor B~.irch said that the Board r_~f Zoning Rd,justmer~t will have a meeting on the b~_~ilding of the gar^age at High Drive and Hermosa next Tuesday and the r^ezonir~g hearing c ~r~ the property west of Nor^thwoUd F2oad will be held next T~_iesday. Mayor Burch said that Beerner Constr~_iction people ar^e still in the City, mr_,nitor^ing the dir^t to be filled in can the constr^~_~ctian of the sewer^s. R~.rle again brought ~.ip the possibility of locking into the enrployirig of a City Manager^. Marshall said that the ,j~_rnction of Woodland and St. Joe Br_,ulevard is torn ~_~p. This will be checked into. City Clerk Grace Kerner^ling said that 6v people have applied for sewer connections.
