BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
MAY 28, 1991
A regular meeting of Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside,
Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on May
28, 1991. Those present were Aldermen Rule, Karr, Marshall, Teters
and Wedua; Shepard absent and Mayor Betty Burch called said meeting
to order.
It was decided to dispense with the reading of the minutes of
May 7 , aad 1[ai- Z 1, 1991 for tba ~rrsant tis-t.
Mayor Burch said that at one of the meetings in February, Dan
Peak of Spoof River Partners requested a change in their plans for
the Carter building which was to put the fuel storage tanks
underground-and they failed to return to the Planning Commission
for this change. They then went to the Planning Commission and
this was approved by the Planning Commission, however it was not
brought to the Board of Aldermen for its approval.
Marshall moved that Spoon River Partner's plans for change to
bury the fuel storage tanks as recommended by the Planning
Commission be approved, seconded by Karr, the vote was Wedua,
Teters, Rule, Marshall and Karr, yes; Shepard absent.
A letter which was received from Don Witt concerning Chuck
Isley's Social Hall Liquor permit was discussed.
Wedua said that in order to raise VanDePopulier road, he will
need a bull dozer for about two or three hours. He thought he
could get this done free, but could not make the proper contacts.
This matter was discussed.
Karr moved that Wedua have permission to employ a bull dozer
for VanDePopulier Street for approximately $1500, seconded by
Marshall, the vote was Rule, Teters, Marshall, Karr and Wedua, yes;
Shepard absent.
The 1991-92 budget was discussed.
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon
motion duly made, seconded and passed, meeting adjourns at 10:00
p.m.
