MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF BOARD 08 ALDERMEDT OF
CZTY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
JUNE 11, 1991
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside,
Missouri on June 11, 1991, at 7:30 P.M. Those present were
aldermen Wedua, Teters, Karr, Shepard and Marshall; Rule absent and
Mayor Betty Burch called said meeting to order.
It was decided to dispense with the reading of the minutes of
June 4, 1991 for the present time.
A letter from Charles A. Sheferman of the Department of
Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Quality was read,
wherein it was stated that the sewage plans were approved and the
grant approved for one year from date of letter.
A thank you note was read from the Gresham Family.
It was announced that tomorrow evening the Chamber of Commerce
will have its picnic from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Renner Park and
there are plans for a good program.
Karr moved that Bill No. 91-35 be placed on its first reading,
said Bill provides for the approval of the final plat of lots 4 and
5 of Block 3 Indian Hills Third Addition, seconded by Teters, the
vote was•Wedua, Teters, Karr, Marshall and Shepard aye, Rule
absent.
Karr moved that Bill No. 91-35 be placed on its second
reading, seconded by Shepard, the vote was: Wedua, Teters, Karr,
Shepard and Marshall aye; Rule absent. Whereupon, the Bill having
been made available for public inspection prior to the
consideration of the Board of Aldermen, Bill No. 91-35 was passed.
Mayor Burch said she would like to hire Jean Yount to clean
the City Hall two to three hours per day and five days per week for
$5.00 per hour, beginning, Monday, June 17, 1991.
Karr moved that Bill No. 91-36 be placed on its first reading,
said Bill provides for the employment of Jean Yount to clean the
City Hall Building two to three hours per day, five days per week
and the salary being $5.00 per hour, seconded by Shepard, the vote
was Wedua, Teters, Karr, Shepard and Marshall, aye; Rule absent.
Karr moved that Bill No. 91-36 be placed on its second
reading, seconded by Teters, the vote was Wedua, Teters, Karr,
Shepard and Marshall; aye; Rule absent. Whereupon, the Bill having
been made available for public inspe~::ion prior to the
consideration of the Board of Aldermen, Bill No. 91-36 was passed.

The following are bids received on designing of the Youngs'
City Park:

Gary Brenner and Mayor Burch said she would meet with Leann
Zimmerman and whoever else wanted to meet to discuss the above
bids.
Mayor Burch said they were going to coordinate things to burn
from the race track and elsewhere; she will get a permit to do so
under the direction of Mike Purcell and would like permission to do
so. It was her understanding that Ed Young will pay his portion of
the cost.
Marshall moved that Mayor Burch get permission to burn
whatever is necessary for a cost up to $5,000.00, which will be
prorated with Ed Young, seconded by Karr, the vote was: Teters,
Wedua, Karr, Marshall and Shepard, yes; Rule absent.
The vehicles parked behind CarBrite should be checked into.
Wedua received a price on a tractor with Loader and Back Hoe
as follows:
Ford - $12,500, with tradein of old tractor.
John Deer - $25,000.
Karr moved that more firm bids be secured with and without
tradein, seconded by Marshall, the vote was: Teters, Marshall,
Wedua and Karr, yes, Shepard, No; and Rule absent.
Mayor Burch thought that Seal-O-Matic did a good job on
patching the roads.
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon
motion duly made, seconded and passed, meeting adjourned at 9:10
p.m.
