HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-06-25MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI JUNE 25, 1991 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on June 25, 1991 at 7:30 p.m. Those present were Aldermen Wedua, Teters, Karr, Shepard, Rule and Marshall. Mayor Betty Burch called said meeting to order. The Minutes of June 18, 1991 were read and approved as corrected. It has been three years since the City has gone out for bids on insurance - Inland Marine, liability, workers comp. etc. The following companies bid on insurance (however since it appeared the companies were not consistent on bidding in the same manner, the bids will be studied and summary will be made: Boston Mike Keith (Rex Smarr present) Cowell Insurance Group ' USFG Cretcher Lynch American Business Ins. Agency City Clerk Grace Kemerling said that certain bills will need to be paid before our next meeting. Karr moved that Bill No. 91-41 be placed on its first reading said bill provides for the payment of: Carter Petroleum $286.23 A & B Body Shop 1335.93 seconded by Shepard, the vote was Wedua, Marshall, Teters, Rule, Karr and Shepard aye. Marshall moved that Bill No. 91-41 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Rule, the vote was Wedua, Marshall, Teters, Rule, Karr and Shepard aye. Whereupon, the Bill having been made available for public inspection prior to the consideration of the Board of Aldermen, Bill No. 91-41 was passed. moo. ~i,~e ~~;e 5 ;~ Chief Robert Bayless said that he has been asked by the Chief of Constitution of By-Laws to be Chairman of the Constitution of By-Laws, and with the permission of the Board he would like to accept. Marshall moved that Chief Bayless accept the offer of his being chairman of the Constitution of By-Laws, seconded by Rule, r Minutes of Reg. Teters moved that the sewer plans be changed to go behind the Clay's property in Indian Hills, seconded by Marshall, the vote was Karr, Teters, Marshall~Shepard and Wedua, yes; Rule, No. The 1991a1992 Budget was discussed. Marshall moved that Bill NO. 91-42 be placed on its first reading, said bill provides for a 3$ increase in the salaries of the employees of the City of Riverside, Missouri, seconded by Teters, the vote was, Karr, Marshall, Wedua, Shepard, Rule and Teters, aye. Karr moved that Bill NO. 91-42 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Shepard, the vote was Karr, Marshall, Rule, Wedua, Shepard and Teters, aye. Whereupon the Bill having been made available for public inspection prior to the consideration of the Board, of Aldermen, Bill No. 91-42 was passed. There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion duly made, seconded and passed, meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m. r
