WHEREAS. the Board of Aldermen and d~c Cin desire to protect the public health. safety and welfare by promulgating la~~~s which lull_v protect the citizens of Ri~~crside in circumstances involy-ins ~~ehicular travel. WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen and the City desire to make appropriate and reasonable rubs regarding physically disabled persons and their interactions with the City and its traffic and parking resulations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORllAINED, b~~ die Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside. Missouri, as follows: Section 1. The Municipal Code of the Cit}~ of Riverside. Chapter 3~~. Section 3~~.010(A) is herebc amended and shall read as follo~r~s: SECTION 3~~.010: STOPPING, STANllING OK PARKING PROHIBITED :~. .. ~. a. . . b. . . c. Within the public right-of=~~ay on the shoulder or the berm adjacent to the roadway. -4. Park or stop a ~,~ehicle_ ~~hcthcr occupied or not, for or at anr~ time. wherever there is erected an authorized sign designating the area f~n- parking for physically disabled persons only unless such vehicle bears and upon which is properl}~ displayed a valid distinguishing plate or card issued pursuant to RSi~to. ~~ 301.071 or 301.1-}?, as amended, or. if the o~~ner of the vehicle is a nonresident of the state, a ~~alid duly resistered equip alent license plate or card issued b~~ the state, county or other place of ~~hich the o~~ner is a resident Section ~. l~he sections. para~~raphs, clauses. and phrases ul this Ordinance are ,~~ crahlc and iC any phrase. clause. sentence. paragraph. or section of this Ordinance shall br declared unla~~ful b~~ the valid judgement. decree. or injunction order of a court of competent jurisdiction. such rulin~~ shall not aflect an~~ of the remaining phrases, clauses. scutenc~s. paragraphs. and sections of this Ordinance.
