by Karr, the vote was Karr, Rule, Shepard, Marshall, Wedua and
Teters, yes.
Mayor Burch brought up the installation of the sewer at
Winston Peeler property, where it appears there will be an air
release valve installed in the sewer line by Kansas City, Missouri,
and the City of Riverside, Missouri and Peeler has requested that
Riverside absorb all the cost of the extension of the air release
valve when and if it will need to be raised if Peeler fills hie
property at that location. Peeler has not wanted to sign the
easement if the City would not promise to absorb the cost of
raising the valve in the future, should it need to be done.
A discussion was had regarding the Peeler's request for the
City to pay for any extension of the air release valve in the sewer
system at his property. It was the consensus of the Mayor and
Board for Wedua and the Mayor to talk to Winston Peeler and inform
him that the City cannot make agreements like this.
Mayor said that E. T. Archer has asked the Department of
Natural Resources to be able to put the sewer in two phases and
they have approved of this and also the Board of Aldermen approved
same.
There being no further business, upon motion duly made for the
meeting to adjourn, meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
