MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI JUNE 26, 1990 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri at 7:30 p.m. on June 26, 1990. Those present were Rule, Karr, Teters, Shepard, and Marshall, Richardson absent and Mayor Betty Burch called said meeting to order. Karr moved that the City accept the Computer bid of $2,319.19, seconded by Rule, the vote was Marshall, Teters, Karr and Rule voted yes; Shepard No, Richardson absent. Karr moved that Bill No. 90-36 being bill providing for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be placed on its first reading, seconded by Teters, the vote was, Marshall, Shepard, Karr, Teters and Rule voted aye; Richardson absent. Karr moved that Bill No. 90-36 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Marshall, the vote was Rule, Karr, Teters, Shepard and Marshall voted aye; Richardson absent. Whereupon, the Bill having been made available for public inspection prior to the consideration of the Board of Aldermen, Bill No. 90-36 was passed. The 1990-91 Budget was discussed. Karr moved that the meeting go into executive session for the reason of discussing salary and personnel matters, seconded by Rule, the vote was Karr, Rule, Shepard, Marshall and Teters voted yes; Richardson absent. The meeting reconvened, those present were Karr, Rule, Shepard, Marshall and Teters were present, Richardson absent; and Mayor Burch presiding over the remainder of the meeting. A discussion was had regarding Candy Gram helping the Judge on Court nights and a letter was read from Judge Czamanske regarding her continuing to help and receiving a salary for same. Shepard moved that Bill No. 90-37 be placed on its first reading, said bill provide for the Assistance Court Clerk's salary to be $20.00 for each court night, seconded by Marshall, the vote was Marshall, Rule, Karr and Teters voted aye; Shepard passed and Richardson absent. Rule moved that Bill No. 90-37 be placed on its second r f ~ ~_ Minutes of Reg. Whereupon, the Bill having been made available for public inspection prior to the consideration of the Board of Aldermen, Bill No. 90-37 was passed. Chief Fletcher spoke to the Mayor and Board concerning the house which caught on fire at Northwest Vivion and St. Joseph Boulevard. He said they had the meeting in the City Hall and invited everyone who was interested to talk about what took place and he has a full report concerning this matter. Teters said she was there as a spectator and thought everything was taken care of quite well. The 1990-91 Budget was discussed further. Rule moved that Bill No. 90-38 be placed on its first reading, said bill provides for the approval of the 1990-91 Budget as set out, seconded by Teters, the vote was Karr, Teters, Rule, Marshall and Shepard voted aye; Richardson absent. Rule moved that Bill No. 90-38 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Teters, the vote was Karr, Teters, Rule, Marshall and Shepard voted aye; Richardson absent. Whereupon the Bill having been made available for public inspection prior to the consideration of the Board of Aldermen, Bill No. 90-37 was passed. Mayor Burch said that she was going to Jefferson City again and we had a good chance of getting one of the other grants on the City sewer's project. The Mayor and Board discussed the whether or not the City should proceed should no grants be awarded the City. A poll was taken and Marshall, Rule, Karr, and Teters were in favor of going ahead; Shepard said she was not in favor of proceeding if no grants are received; Richardson absent. The matter was discussed regarding one of the dispatchers going on maternity leave and Chief Fletcher said he thought he would be able to get someone in to help out. There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion, made, seconded and duly passed, meeting adjourned at 10:45 p.m. ~. ~.~~ p r
