'1dIIER~AS, the City is iu+he process or developing a comprehensive ordinance for right-of-
way management and the licensing of taleco:rrtunicacion providers and carriers.
`JJHFRFAS, in order to snidy and refine these issues, the City desires to place a temporary
moratorium on the submission, eonsideratior. and approval of (i) franchises and (ii) uses of the City's
rights-of-wuy (thz °iVforatorium").
NOW, THEREFOR)r, be it ordained 6y t_he Board of Aldermen of Riverside, Missouri:
Szcticn 1. No applicatiors For franchises, use of righ*s-of=say or the provision of
teiecorttm~aticatior. sen~ices wil? be accepted or considered by the City until the
zanier o£ (i) May 1 n, 2000 or (ii) the adoption of the Right-of-lNay Ordinance. Aber
the moratorium has ended, the submission, consideration and approval of such
applications shall be in confornuty with any and all ordinances then in effect.
Secrian 2 This ordinance shall take effect immediately.
