CORPORATION, KANSAS CITY, NIO., FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING
SERVICES STREET, STORM DRAINAGE, BRIDGE WIDENING, ANll
SIDEV-'ALK IMPROVEMENTS, NW GA"TEWAY IN THE AMOUNT OF
$31,200.00.
BE [T ORDAINEll BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN FOR THE. CITY OF
RIVERSIDE, MSISOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. 'The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with
Bucher, Willis & Ratliff Corp., Kansas City, Mo, to provide
engineering services, street, bridge, storm drainage and
sidewalk improvements, NW Gateway.
SECTION 2. The City hereby agrees to pay the Engineer $2,400.00 as
reimbursement for costs incurred by the Engineer in
connection with the Designer construction Phase Services.
SECTION 3. The City hereby agrees to pay the Engineer the (not to
exceed) amount of $28,800.00 as reimbursement for costs
incurred by the Engineer in connection with the
Construction Observation Services.

SUFPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 5 TO
AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES
THIS SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT N0.5 ("Supplement"), is made and entered
into this 7th day of November , 2000, by and between the CITY OF
RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, a Mtuucipal Corporation of the State of Missouri (the "City"), and
BUCHER, WILLIS & BAILIFF CORPORATION, a Missouri corpo=anon (the "Engineer").
WHEREAS, the City and the Engineer have entered into a certain Agreement for
Professional Engineering Services, Street, Bridge, Storm Drainage, and Sidewalk Improvements,
N.W. Gateway, City of Riverside, Missouri, Project No. 96-0I dated July 16, 1996 (the
"Agreement"), in connection with the N.W. Gateway Road Project (the "Project").
WHEREAS, Page 7 of 7 in Exhibit I, identified in Article I, ADDITIONAL SERVICES TO
BE PROVIDED EY CONSULTANT, of the Agreement indicates that the "Designer Construction
Phase Services, Construction Observation, and Preparation of As-Built Construction plans" are
not included in the scope of services and are considered additional work;
WHEREAS, the Engineer has been directed by the City to provide the Designer
Construction Phase Services to include: review of shop drawings, answering questions during
construction, and load rating the structure, The Construction Observation Services will include
providing assistance to the City Inspector on an as needed basis during construction operations,
and prepatatian of the Record Construction Plans that reflect significant changes made during
COnStIUCt10n.
WHEREAS, the City is agreeable to the additional work to be performed by the Engineer
in connection with construction phase services;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing premises and the mutual
covenants and agreements herein contained, and other good and valuable consideration, the
receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the parties do hereby agree as follows:
1. The Engineer is hereby authorized to proceed. with the additional work
2, The City hereby agrees to pay the Engineer the amount of Two Thousand Four
Idundred Dollars ($2,400.00) as reimbursement for costs incurred by the Engineer in connection
with tha Designer Construction Phase Services. Such amouztt shall be paid in accordance with
Article IV, PAYMENTS TO THE ENGINEER.
