HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-08-29MINUTES OF MEETING OF BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AUGUST 29, 1989 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on August 29, 1989, at 7:30 p.m. Those present were Aldermen Teters, Richardson, Rule, Shepard and Karr; Kuhlman absent and Mayor Betty Burch called said meeting to order. It was decided to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the meeting of August 15. and 22, 1989 for the present time. Richardson moved that the meeting go into closed session to discuss personnel matters, seconded by Rule; Karr, Teters, Richardson, Rule and Shepard voted yes, Kuhlman, absent. The meeting rec vened, those present were Aldermen Karr, Shepard, Teters, , Rule and Richardson, Kuhlman absent; and Mayor Betty Burch presided over remainder of meeting. The matter of purchasing the new Radio Equipment for the Public Safety Department was discussed. Richardson said he knew of a person that was acquainted with radio equipment and would like to call him in to see what we are purchasing and if it is what the City needs. It was also brought out that maybe we should wait until Mr. Fletcher is here and we can ask him to see if he can furnish any information on the Radio Equipment. It was thought that Mr. Franklin and Mr. Richardson's person along with Mr. Fletcher could help on the purchasing of the right Radio Equipment. Shepard said that she would like to work up the Policy Manual (Personnel Manual) before the new Chief of Public Safety person is employed. Shepard said she is still getting complaints regarding the Dog Catcher coming into the yard of the owner of the dogs and picking them up. There being no further business to come before the Board, upon motion duly made, seconded and passed, meeting adjourned. ,~ -- r
