He explained that the draft Consultantthat was given to the Park Board will be discussed with the Board of Aldermen on Tuesday Updatenight. Valerie McCaw will be at that meeting to answer any questions. The Public Work evaluation document does not spell out how some of the parks maintenance issues should be handled. It does suggest that the operation and maintenance of the parks be separate from Public Works, but how that will be divided will be left up to the new Director of Public Works. The analysis does identify some areas of friction, lists some of the goals for the department, and what needs to be done as far as staffing as the City continues to develop. RennerMike Duffy gave the Park Board an update on Renner Brenner Park. He explained again the Brenner Park two options for the playground. The first option was to leave the plan the same and move the Updateplayground to the area on top of the hill that has been excavated and install it to a slab of concrete and eventually construct a new shelter house. The other plan that was discussed at the last meeting was to move the existing skate park further down Vivion Road and use the concrete slab from the skate park to install the new playground equipment. On the same slab of concrete a new shelter house will be installed and a small fence will be put around the playground. The Park Board discussed these options in length. Jim Frakes moved to install the playground equipment on the top of the hill where it was originally planned to be and to keep the skate park in its existing location. Ron Carlson seconded. The vote was: Yes: Jim Frakes, Ron Carlson, Terri Dwyre, Norma Parrot, Deborah Leader, and Alderman Mike Fuller. No: Julie Rule and Mayor Kathy Rose. The motion passes.
